- About
1111 East 11th is a three-story mixed-use development located along the revitalized East 11th Street corridor in Austin. The ground floor is occupied by an art gallery and boutique retail spaces, with offices above and residential units on the top floor. This layered program reflects the evolving character of the neighborhood, where commerce, culture, and daily life converge.
The design takes inspiration from the geological formations of Central Texas, particularly the exfoliated granite domes of Enchanted Rock. Shifting floor plates create a stepped composition that aligns visually with nearby landmarks such as the Texas State Capitol and the UT Tower. The result is a dynamic massing that appears to unfold gradually toward the sky.
Cantilevered and recessed terraces offer shaded outdoor spaces and mediate between the public street front and the quieter residential context beyond. Concrete, glass, and metal panels are expressed with clarity, allowing light and shadow to define the architecture throughout the day. 1111 East 11th stands as both an urban marker and a threshold between the civic and domestic realms of East Austin.
